Summary
ATP is the "energy currency" of all living cells. ATP is used by cells to perform all cellular functions. When a cell dies, ATP breaks down quickly. For this reason, ATP serves as a reliable biomarker for living microorganisms in a sample. The online measurement of physical-chemical parameters is widely used in the industry. A microbial real-time analysis was previously not possible due to the lack of fully automatic, reliable analyzers.
Operation of the instrument and results will be presented in this lecture.
